VfB Lübeck is a traditional football club from Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein. Founded in 1919, the club played mainly in the lower professional leagues, but reached the 2nd Bundesliga several times, most recently in the 2002/03 season. The club plays its home games in the Lohmühle stadium and has a loyal fan base. In addition to football, VfB Lübeck is also active in other sports. In recent years, the club has alternated between the Regionalliga and the 3rd league.
