SV Wüstenrot Salzburg was an Austrian football club that emerged from SV Austria Salzburg. The club played under this name in the early 2000s before being renamed FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2005. In the 1990s, then known as Casino Salzburg, the club enjoyed great success, including two championship titles and the UEFA Cup final in 1994. The takeover by Red Bull led to a break with the fans, after which the traditional SV Austria Salzburg was re-founded.
