SSV Ulm 1846 is a traditional football club from Ulm, Baden-Württemberg. The club was founded in its current form in 1970 through a merger, but its roots go back to 1846. Its greatest success was promotion to the Bundesliga in the 1999/2000 season, where the club was immediately relegated. After financial problems, SSV Ulm played in the lower leagues for a long time, but fought its way back and is currently active in the 3rd league. Home games take place in the Donaustadion. The club is known for its strong youth work and combative style of play.
