SpVgg Unterhaching is a football club from Unterhaching near Munich. Founded in 1925, the club experienced its most successful period around the turn of the millennium, when it played in the Bundesliga from 1999 to 2001. Unterhaching became particularly well-known in 2000, when the team helped Bayern Munich to the championship by beating Bayer Leverkusen. After financial and sporting setbacks, the club oscillated between the 3rd division and the Regionalliga. The home games take place in the Unterhaching sports park. The club places great value on youth work and is known for its family atmosphere.
