KRC Genk is a Belgian football club based in the city of Genk. It was founded in 1988 through the merger of Waterschei Thor and KFC Winterslag. The club is one of the most successful teams in Belgium, having won the Belgian championship and cup multiple times. Genk is known for its excellent youth development and has produced talents such as Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois. The team plays its home games at the Cegeka Arena.
