The Ghana national football team, known as the Black Stars, is one of the most prestigious teams in Africa. Founded in 1957, the team has won the African Cup of Nations on several occasions, notably in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982. The Black Stars are also known for their successful performances at the Olympic Games and the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
