FC Erzgebirge Aue is a football club from Aue in the Ore Mountains, Saxony. Founded in 1946 as BSG Wismut Aue, the club is one of the most traditional clubs in East Germany. In the GDR, Aue was champion and cup winner several times. After reunification, the club played in the 2nd Bundesliga for a long time before being relegated to the 3rd division in 2022.
