Deportivo Universidad, officially "Deportivo Universidad de Chile" or "Universidad de Chile", is a prestigious football club based in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 1927, the club is one of the most successful and popular in the Chilean football scene. The club plays its home matches at the Estadio Nacional de Chile, one of the largest stadiums in the country with a capacity of approximately 48,000 spectators. Universidad de Chile is known for its dedicated and passionate fan base, known as "La U", and its significant rivalry with Colo-Colo, which is one of the most intense derbies in Chilean football.
