Arminia Bielefeld, founded in 1905, is a German football club based in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club, often simply called "Arminia", has a long history in German football, in both the upper and lower leagues. Arminia Bielefeld has won the German championship once, in 1980. In addition, the club has won the DFB-Pokal twice, in 1978 and 2004. The club plays its home games at the SchücoArena, a stadium with a capacity of around 26,000 spectators. The club is known for its dedicated fan base and its traditional role in German football.
