The Egyptian national football team, also known as the "Pharaohs", is one of the most successful national teams in Africa. Founded in 1921, it has won the Africa Cup of Nations several times, including the titles in 1957, 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010. Egypt has also qualified for the FIFA World Cup several times, most recently in 2018. The team is known for its strong performance in continental competition and has produced numerous notable players, including Mohamed Salah, who is one of the most famous footballers of today.
